Since 1951, the Merritt Island Volunteer Fire Department is a 501c3 and a 100% volunteer agency that supplements BCFR to help protect Merritt Island. Our rich history is built on the dedication of volunteers who have served selflessly to protect our community. Operating out of Brevard County Fire Rescue Station 41, we utilize our specialized vehicles to respond to various emergencies. Each member, whether a firefighter, EMT, or Paramedic, plays a crucial role in our operations. Join us in continuing this proud legacy by volunteering your time and skills.
